You’re getting a failure because you are not using a FQDN (hostname plus domain name) which you *must* use. And, yes, you *must* have forward and reverse DNS records created for this system before you deploy it. These records must be present in the DNS server you specified in your installer process. If you don’t have DNS correctly, go build DNS first.
