Prusa i3 MK2 kit review

This is first 3D printer I have so can not proived comparison with other brands.

The build:

Documentation does not say much about how long the build should take but mine took 12 hours as I tried to really follow intstructions at http://manual.prusa3d.com/ to avoid any mistakes that would takemuch time to fix later. This paid of and I’ve completed the build at first attemtpt. Documentation is exceptional and if you follow mostly pictures and read notes to avoid some mistakes you will succeed.

Quality:

All parts match together , there were maybe 2-4 holes that I had to unscrew an screw again to create thread specially in main frame plate.

Electronics:

Again the documentation online is super easy to follow, even there is two types of boards but can be easily recognized, for MK2 is 1.3 version. Just pictures could be vertical as the position of the board on printer. Still, all ports I managed to connect at first which is usually not the case.

Calibration:

This is magic as in latest firmware the calobration is automatic, just select calibration in menu and its all done.

Verification of calibration:

On SD card that comes with printer is V2 GCode for first line verification. This worked great, just took me some time to figure out right tempterature for printing bed and right amount of glue to be applied. Only adjustment in my case  was on axis Z -0.020 in LCD settings.

First print:

I had slight problem with material PLA which did not want to stick with printing bed but after lowering Z axis, increasing bed temperature to 60 degrees and slowing down print to about 40% everything looks good.
